Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
The Saint Jude Catholic School Alumni Association ("SJCSAA", "One SJCSAA", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us through the One SJCSAA alumni platform (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an alumni account or update your profile, we may collect:
- Identity information: full name, suffix, birthday, gender, civil status, and batch/graduation year.
- Contact information: email address, mobile phone number, and home address (country, province/state, city, street address, ZIP code).
- Account credentials: your password, which is stored using industry-standard one-way hashing and is never visible to us in plain text.
- Profile photo: a photo you take with your camera or upload from your device, used to identify you on your alumni profile and ID.
- Professional information: your position/job title and company/employer name, if you choose to provide them.
- Usage information: sign-in timestamps and general account activity, used to secure your account and improve the Platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and verify your alumni account and membership status.
- To generate your digital alumni ID and enable event check-ins.
- To communicate association updates, events, and opportunities relevant to alumni.
- To maintain the accuracy and security of alumni records.
- To comply with legitimate legal or administrative requirements of the association.
3. Account Verification
New accounts are marked as pending verification until reviewed by the SJCS Alumni Association. We may contact you to confirm your identity and alumni status before granting full access to the Platform.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. Limited profile information (such as your name and batch year) may be visible to other verified alumni within the Platform's directory features, where such features exist. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate the Platform (e.g., hosting providers), under confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
5. Data Retention & Security
We retain your information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures — including password hashing, restricted database access, and secure file storage — to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
6. Your Rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or ask questions about how your data is used, by contacting the association at the email address below. We will respond to reasonable requests in accordance with applicable data privacy laws.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
